Chiefest of Sinners

That's what Paul said in 1 Timothy 1:15 and I have come to the conclusion that I can say with Paul I am the chiefest of sinners. It is hard to believe that a Pastor would say that about himself but, over the years as I have grown closer and closer to my Lord he has shown me clearly that I am a sinner saved by grace. We have made and effort at Faith Baptist to study Christ, to draw near to the Lord and in doing so we begin to realize just how Holy God is and just how bad we really are. I am not trying to discourage you in your walk with the Lord rather this is encouragement. Yes I realize I'm a rotten sinner and left alone without Christ I would be the worst possible sinner. However; even in my sinfulness Jesus died to redeem me. He saved me because he wanted to save me, he called me to him and forgave me. So even though I am a sinner I am saved and reconciled to God thought Christ. So now I can look to him and say thank for saving me! Thank you for deliverance of one of the chiefest of sinners. I don't know why you called me but, thank God almighty I'm free from the condemnation of sin. You to can be free if you have trusted in Jesus Christ as your savior.
